No one knows when a major disaster will strike. While no school can control the effects of a major disaster, there are precautions that can be taken to reduce the impact a disaster may have on our students, faculty, administration and parents.
For this reason Montera has set forth a continuing effort to ensure the safety of it’s students implementing the following measures :
- Having a current revised school safety plan in place
- Updated and expanded emergency supplies on site
- Formal disaster preparedness training for faculty and staff
- Raising the awareness level of the school community
These measures can work together to assist with keeping students safe on campus until a pre-designated guardian is able to pick them up.
Montera is at the forefront of safety plans and can be considered a model school for other Bay Area schools.
